Thea Skelton

Thea has been running Dubai Lynx, the Middle East and North Africa’s sister festival to Cannes Lions for the past 18 months. Based in Dubai for nine year’s Thea is very familiar with the region’s creative communications and events industry.

Prior to Dubai Lynx, Thea worked on numerous large scale events and awards shows for the UAE government. During her time at Daily Mail Group she worked on the largest oil and gas event in the world, ADIPEC and prior to that with Streamline Marking Group she launched thought leadership summits, such as the Host Cities Summit in association with Emirates Airline and the Dubai’s Department of Tourism. Her work has taken her all across the region including a number of high level events in Lebanon and Bahrain.

Before Thea moved to Dubai, she worked in London for Guardian News and Media for five years in their sponsorship and events department. Her remit including running thought leadership current affairs and political debates, many awards including the prestigious Guardian First Book Award amongst numerous sponsorship activations and parties.

Thea loves her work with Dubai Lynx and has a fundamental belief that creativity is at the heart of all good business.
