Listed as one of the UK’s Top 35 Most Influential Women in Tech ’17 (by Computer Weekly), one of the top 50 Belfast Business ‘17 & a finalist in the Women in Business NI 17’s “Young Businesswoman of the year” category, Sheree (@nirushika on Twitter) is a 26 year old, working as a Tech Business Consultant, Deloitte; Founder, I Am Lanka; UK Expansion Director, Women Who Code. As well as her day to day life in the tech industry, Sheree is a tech outreach leader across the UK. As a passionate advocate for gaining & retaining women in the tech industry, in 2013 she brought Women Who Code to the UK (womenwhocode.com).

Women Who Code is a global non-profit, working to eradicate the gender bias through free hack nights, tech talks & career trainings. Women Who Code UK (Belfast, London, Edinburgh & Bristol) has been in several publications, such as Huffington Post, Wired, ComputerWeekly, The Guardian, Marie Claire and many more.

In addition to this, Sheree has also founded & is working on a new Social responsibility project called I Am Lanka organisation (www.iamlanka.org). The I Am Lanka organisation exists in order to shine a light on the global/local change makers in Sri Lanka.
